How many people will actually use the rental?
For a private gathering, one unit per 50 guests can be an initial discussion point, with indoor restroom access considered separately. This is a planning example, not a universal event formula. Longer parties, concentrated arrival times, and drinking can change the setup needed.
For an illustrative 100-person gathering, dividing 100 by 50 gives two units as a starting discussion count. Do not subtract a unit just because there is one bathroom inside; first establish who can use it and whether guests will know it is available. Use the restroom planner to organize your details for a quote.
Standard, flushing, or a trailer?
A standard unit suits a host who primarily needs extra restroom access. A flushing unit with an interior sink is a different guest experience in a similar compact format. A restroom trailer adds more space and climate control, with greater setup and utility needs.
For a meal-serving gathering, ask about a separate handwashing station. Guests can wash without keeping the restroom occupied. Confirm who will check water, soap, and paper towels during the gathering.
Measure the route, not just the gate
At an Interlochen or Woodland West home, map the path from the service vehicle to the proposed spot. Identify turns, slopes, steps, trees, low wires, and parked cars. Product width is only one measurement. The team must confirm the handling and service approach for the actual unit.
Keep a second placement option available. A front or side position approved by the property owner may be more workable than a secluded backyard corner that cannot be pumped or reached for pickup.
Agree on the entire weekend
Give the event start time and ask when the unit will arrive ready for use. Earlier delivery and later collection should be part of the agreed rental period. Holiday pickup can differ from an ordinary weekend, so confirm it before paying.
If no one will be home, request unattended delivery instructions in advance and provide a reachable contact. After the event, keep the collection route open. Review the rental and pickup terms for the questions to settle in writing.
