Separate the first invoice from later invoices

The first charge can contain the equipment rental, delivery, and other agreed one-time items. Later periods may have a different total because the equipment remains on site. Ask whether pickup is prepaid or billed when collection occurs.

Ask for the current rate, billing period, and included services for your exact rental. A past quote for a different project may not cover the same equipment or service. Use the itemized cost guide to compare the actual written offers for your project.

Count periods using the stated start date

An illustrative 28-day cycle contains four seven-day weeks. Three such cycles cover 84 days. Calendar months vary in length, so a “three-month” project and three rental cycles may have different end dates. Confirm the first charge date and renewal dates in your agreement.

If the job may last only three weeks, ask whether the full first period still applies and whether unused days receive any adjustment. Do not infer a daily refund from a monthly label.

Cleaning and billing are separate schedules

A billing period does not tell you the cleaning day. Confirm how often the unit is pumped, cleaned, and restocked, and when the first visit is expected. Busy work sites may need extra servicing or more units.

For a home build in Arlington or a phased project in McKinney, update the team when additional trades arrive. Keeping the original cleaning schedule may be inappropriate after the crew doubles.

Request pickup and confirm when charges stop

For an open-ended rental, arrange pickup when the project no longer needs the equipment. Keep the order reference and contact the team when the equipment is no longer needed. Ask for confirmation of the request, the collection arrangement, and the billing-stop date.

Remove vehicles and materials from the service approach. If the property will be locked after the crew leaves, arrange access before the last working day. See long-term rental planning for the full handoff.
